One week after Double Decker and I have so many highlights! Here's just a few, okay, a lot!
I loved meeting so many new friends, I couldn't even eat lunch! Allen was there with me (last year he was out of town in a seminary class) which was wondeful and exciting. Many past customers came to visit me again and shared with me where they hung my painting in their home (so humbled and blessed!). The weather was beautiful, which was such a surprise, the forcast was shakey for the weekend.
One of the more hilarious highlights was when 0ne awesome guy bought a painting and as I was taking it down I saw a dead worm Tucked in the back - so embarrassed - I blame Gray!
Lots of friends rallied to help set up- my mom, Mallory, Dolly, Will, Andy...and some more friends to help take down Jane, Kelly and Maybie!
I loved meeting sweet parents of our volunteer Young Life leaders.
One of the highlight was my Ellie Grace selling out of her little paintings...she told me the day before Double Decker, "Mom, I'm worried! I'm afraid if people see my paintings in your booth they will think you're are a bad artist!" But, I told her they will think I'm a better one and they will probably know it's my daughters.
While trying to keep my kids busy I sent them into Square Books Jr to play, they came out with a few toys - so I sent them back with money! Our tent was the hub for our Young Life leaders all day, which was wonderful and busy!
Thanks for all of you who offered encouragement. it keeps me up in my studio late into the night after my kids are tucked into bed!
